Frequently
Asked Questions
1.
Can I add my fiancé/friend
to my membership, even
if we have different
last names?
You
certainly can. You are
allowed to put 2 names
on your activation form
but only one address.
2.
Can I/we add more days
and/ or ports to our
Cruise?
Yes, you certainly can.
Just let the reservations
know you want to add
days or ports when you
book your cruise. Of
course they will charge
for the extra days or
ports.
3.
Can I/we trade vacations
with other members?
Yes, you can. There
are 2 ways you can do
this. When you find
a member that wants
to trade vacations,
just put your I.D. number
and their name and address
on the certificate and
send it in and have
them do the same. Or
you can have the vacation
sent to you and if you
are close enough, then
trade with them in person.
4.
Do I/we have to use
the vacations that come
in my package first?
No. You may use your
vacations in any order
you like. Just remember,
those that come in your
package usually have
a expiration date or
an issue date and are
good for 1 year from
when you activate your
package.
5.
How can Coast Club offer
this package so cheap?
Because this is a promotional
package. Resorts and
marketing companies
have been selling similar
vacation packages for
many years, generally
for a much higher price.
The price of an airline
ticket, cruise or resort
stay depends entirely
upon projected capacities
and vacancy rates. These
businesses find that
participating in a vacation
package program like
ours is an outstanding
form of advertising.
We sell their vacations
to you at dramatic savings,
you get a fabulous vacation
at pennies on the dollar,
and they keep their
airlines, cruises and
resorts filled. Plus
people will always spend
money in the bars, casinos,
restaurants, and souvenir
shops. Another factor
is Coastal purchases
in huge quantities.
6.
How can I give a vacation
to my brother or sister?
Just put your I.D. number
and their name and address
on the certificate and
send it in. The shipping
company will send it
to the address on the
certificate. You could
also have the shipping
company send it to you.
When you get it, you
can wrap it up and then
give it to them.
7.
How long are the vacation
certificate's good for?
The certificates are
good forever, they don't
expire. Once you send
in a vacation certificate
and receive your vacation
in the mail, then you
have 1 year to use it.
8.
How long have you really
been around?
The Coastal Vacation
Package has been around
since 1973 and we have
millions of happy and
satisfied members. All
the companies we represent
in our package are some
of the most respected
and ethical companies
in the vacation and
travel industry. Please
see company history.
9.
If I/we book a condo
for my family, can we
invite our friends to
come and stay with us?
Many people do and many
resorts ask you if you
want to invite other
people and will give
them the same benefits
as you. Just ask them
when you are making
your reservations.
10.
Is the cruise really
Free?
Yes and No. You do not
pay for the "FUN
SHIP" Cruise in
your package. However,
since you are not paying
for the cruise, Carnival
does ask for $100 good
faith money when you
book your cruise. When
you get back, just call
Carnival and they will
send you your $100 back.
You and I are responsible
for taxes and port charges,
which we would also
pay if we bought the
cruise.
11.
Once I send in my vacation
certificate how long
does it take till I
get it?
They are shipped via
US Postal Service and
it takes about 5 - 7
days depending on where
you live. They are shipped
from Kissimme, Florida.
Our shipping company
ships them out as soon
as they get a request.
12.
Once purchased, how
many of these items
are transferable to
family or friends?
All the airfare, car
rental card, car discount
coupons, phone card
and all vacations. The
airfare discounts come
in the package in a
coupon form and the
savings are immediate.
The vacations also come
in the package in a
certificate form. You
just just print your
ID number on it and
who you want it to go
to. Either you or the
person will send it
to our shipping company
with $6 (for s/h) and
our shipping company
will send the vacation
to the name and address
listed on the certificate.
All of the membership
cards come with your
name(s) embossed on
them like a credit card
and are for members
only.
13.
What about kids. Can
we take our kids with
us?
Certainly. Most resorts
let you add your child
for free, however some
resorts charge a small
fee depending on their
age. Just ask when making
your reservations.
14.
What about taxes and
port charges?
Taxes and ports charges
are still your (or the
person taking the vacation)
responsibility. This
is not something Coast
Club adds, it is the
place you visit that
adds it. If you bought
the same cruise from
a travel agent in your
city, you would still
have to pay these charges.
15.
What are the vacations
(other than the cruises)
really worth?
Each vacation is worth
between $300 - $500
depending on the vacation.
16.
What are weekly "HOT
SHEETS" or Burn
Weeks?
They are last minute
stays at resorts that
have not met full capacity
booking. The price of
a airline ticket, cruise
or resort stay depends
entirely upon projected
capacities and vacancy
rates. A resort rarely
achieves 100% capacity,
and empty rooms cost
them money. So resorts
will discount the empty
rooms up to 75% off
to fill them and create
special packages to
attract guests to their
resorts. If you call
the number on the back
of your condo card they
will fax you their hot
sheet specials or burn
weeks to let you know
what is available. They
will do this every week
if you wish.
17. What happens at
the end of 1 year?
At the end of 1 year,
our shipping company
will send you a renewal
form for the membership
cards. If you want to
keep your cards, just
pay the $89.95 renewal
fee plus shipping and
the shipping company
will send you new cards
and directories for
another year.
However, PLEASE keep
your yellow copy of
the membership application.
This has your I.D. number
on it and you need that
number for the rest
of your vacations. Nobody
else has or knows your
personal I.D. number.
18.
What if I don't renew
my cards?
No problem. You are
not obligated to renew.
The vacations, airfare
and everything that
came with your package
is yours to keep and
use whenever you wish.
There is no renewal
on the airfare or vacations.
19.
What if one of my vacations
has expired, can I still
use it?
Well you can't say you
haven't been warned.
But most resorts want
you to use your vacations
and are very flexible.
So what I would recommend
is to call the resort
or cruise line and ask
them. They might work
with you in one way
or another. They may
just go ahead and honor
it or charge a small
fee. It never hurts
to ask. But call them
first before tossing
it.
20.
What if one of the companies
in the package goes
out of business?
The Board of Directors
would find another company
with excellent ratings,
the same or better benefits
to replace them and
you would be compensated
for that.
21.
Why don't all the vacations
come with the package?
Unlike some other vacation
packages, Coastal and
the companies we represent
want you to use all
of your vacations. If
they were all in the
package, then they would
all expire in 1 year.
That would not be fair
to you would it? So
we start you out with
2-3 vacations that are
activated. The others
are in the package in
a certificate form.
When you are ready to
use that vacation, just
fill in your I.D. number,
name and address and
send it to our shipping
company with $6 (for
S&H) and they will
send it to you. When
you get it in the mail,
then you have 1 year
to use it.
22.
Why is there more than
1 hotel card?
Different hotels offer
different options, different
locations and get booked
at different times.
If a hotel is booked
due to an event, holiday
or whatever, just use
your other hotel cards
and directories to find
another hotel in the
area you want to stay.
23.
How can all this value
in a Vacation Package
cost only $1,295.00?
First
you have to understand
how the Vacation &
Travel Industry works.
The price of a resort
stay, cruise, or an
airline ticket depends
entirely upon projected
capacities and vacancy
rates. A resort rarely
achieves 100% capacity,
and empty rooms cost
them money. Resorts
will reduce the room
rates and create special
packages to attract
guests to their resorts
because people will
always spend money in
restaurants, bars, souvenir
shops, and casinos.
Another factor is that
Coastal purchases in
huge quantities.
24.
How do I know this isnt
a scam and will be shut
down tomorrow?
All
of the companies in
this package are some
of the most respected
and ethical companies
in the vacation and
travel industry. Most
of the companies have
been doing business
for the past 15 to 25
years, depending on
the company. We welcome
anyone to check out
each of the companies
we represent and see
for yourself the long-term
track record filled
with excellent customer
service and integrity.
